The prices for dental care just keep rising. For many individuals and families the cost of Arizona dental care is prohibitive. If you reside in Arizona and are trying to decide whether or not to purchase Arizona dental insurance through the company where you work or individually, be sure to spend some time educating yourself about what type of dental plans are available.

General Considerations When Choosing an Arizona Dental Insurance Plan

Many Arizona dental insurance plans contain what are called a “yearly maximum” the most money a plan will pay out during one full year. On the average, the yearly maximum is $1000 per year. If you have any Arizona dental insurance unused benefits at the end of the policy year, they do not roll over into the next year. Just as there are guidelines in Arizona health insurance plans governing exclusion periods for certain pre-existing conditions, most Arizona dental insurance plans likewise have waiting times for certain procedures.
Before selecting an Arizona dental insurance policy, ask if the Arizona dental insurance policy you are considering includes a “missing tooth clause” and/or a “replacement clause” and how such clauses would affect your needs.
