Thank you. This is helpful and I appreciate your time and assistance.
— Rick,
I was glad that you answered the phone. I know I made a good choice choosing you as my broker and applying with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. The more I think about it, the more I want to be with a company that has widespread recognition and is everywhere. So thanks again for everything!
— Liza,
“Hi Mike,
…my mother lives in Texas, but I thought I would ask you (a question about health insurance,) since the

Small employers in Arizona with less than 50 employees are faced with ever increasing health insurance premiums. Thankfully, there are several advantages with offering group coverage, benefits not available to the employee if purchasing their own individual plan.

For 2018, it is likely in the employer’s best interest to offer a small group policy for their employees. One of the main benefits of a group policy with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona is the fact that the Statewide PPO will still be an option for those insured. (Non-group policies no longer offer the PPO network, only HMO networks.) Employers will likely be able to deduct the group premium as a business expense. Group premium rates are typically considerably less expensive than an individual plan. Please call for an instant quote over the phone.

There may be state financial assistance available for groups with 25 or fewer employees, for up to three years, through the Arizona Department of Revenue. The AZDOR program offers $3000 per family, per year, for up to three years, and $1000 per single employee, per year, for up to three years toward the cost of a small group health insurance plan. Because it is a $5 million dollar program funded each January, funds go quickly. Please call Mike Higgins at 602-405-8769 for further details.
