Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona Senior Preferred PPO Medicare supplement plans C and N are available for residents of Maricopa, Pima, Apache, Cochise, Coconino, Mohave and Santa Cruz counties in Arizona. The Arizona Medicare supplement PPO plans C and N offer lower monthly premiums than the Arizona Senior Security Plans A, C, G, and N, but require that you use physicians and hospitals in the BCBSAZ Senior Preferred provider network of over 19,000 providers. You do not need a referral to see a specialist. In emergency situations the in-network requirement is waived.

Arizona Medicare Supplement

Since there are over 19,000 providers in the Arizona Senior Preferred PPO network, and more joining often, there are ample choices in primary care physicians and specialists. You have the freedom to choose any Arizona Senior Preferred physician you want to see and are not required to go through a primary care physician gatekeeper. Using network providers means lower out-of-pocket costs and lower premiums.

If you don’t plan on traveling extensively for much of the year, one of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona PPO Medicare supplement plans C or N may be just right for you.
There is no waiting period. Other Arizona Medicare supplement plans may require that you wait for coverage, but with Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Arizona Senior Security or Senior Preferred PPO plans you have no waiting period for pre-existing conditions, although medical underwriting may be required to determine the premium amount.
