Arizona Small Group Health Insurance

Small employers in Arizona with less than 50 employees are faced with ever increasing health insurance premiums. Fortunately, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona offers some of the most competitively priced small employer group health insurance plans in the state.

It is likely in the employer’s best interest to offer a small group health insurance policy to their employees, if for no other reason than to stay competitive in a market in short supply of qualified prospective employees. One of the main benefits of a group policy with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona is the fact that the Statewide PPO is an excellent option for those insured. The Statewide network includes the vast majority of medical providers in Arizona and across the country. Also, employers will likely be able to deduct the group premium as a business expense. Group premium rates are typically considerably less expensive than individual plans. Please call for an instant quote, 602-405-8769.

There may be state financial assistance available for groups with 25 or fewer employees that do not presently offer group coverage, or have not had group coverage within the last six months. The $5 million dollar annual program is through the Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR.) The AZDOR program offers $3000 per family, per year, for up to three years, and $1000 per single employee, per year, for up to three years toward the cost of a small group health insurance plan. The company must be headquartered in Arizona, and have been in existence at least one year. There are no financial qualifications.
