ACA Subsidies Extended to 2025

The Inflation Reduction Act, signed into law on August 16, 2022, extends the American Rescue Plan enhanced subsidies for three more years, through 2025.

Marketplace enrollees with household incomes under 400% of the federal poverty line will receive tax credits to help pay their Arizona health insurance premium. Many enrollees above 400% of the poverty line will receive tax credits as well and will not pay more than 8.5% of their household income. Most individuals within 133% – 200% of the poverty line qualify for a $0 premium Silver Cost Share Reduction plan.

The Federal Poverty Limit (FPL)

2022: Those below 150% of FPL are eligible for zero-premium plans, restrictions apply. If an individual makes below approximately $30K a year, they likely qualify. Couples and families have higher income limits.

If your income is between 150% and 400% of the poverty line you probably qualify for premium assistance. An individual making approximately $54K a year likely qualifies, $73K if a couple.

Those making over 400% of the poverty line may still receive premium assistance if their premium payments are over 8.5% of their income.
