Assuming the risks of owning a business is what most would consider an entrepreneur. Nancy Pelosi has a slightly different idea of what an entrepreneur is. The other day she referred to ObamaCare as an, “entrepreneurial bill.” She goes on to say that if someone wants to quit their job and fulfill their lifelong desire to become an artist or musician they can, without the worry of obtaining health insurance because the government will be supplying it for them thanks to the new national health insurance law.
So, while true entrepreneurs are working, creating jobs, and paying taxes to pay the health insurance premiums of the new artists of the world, we have government officials encouraging it’s citizens to quit their jobs. This is the definition of a nanny state, relying on the government to take care of oneself, not a vibrant, market-based economy that creates jobs and fulfills dreams.
