Last week Republicans introduced a bill to repeal the new health insurance law. Of course there is no chance of this happening anytime soon. Medical insurance changes due to this law are not being met with much excitement, in fact the majority wants it repealed.
But the Republicans bill could be useful as a campaign tool. Group health insurance rates will rise and employers know it. Having Republicans offer to repeal the law may garner some votes. Voters have found no solace in the new health insurance law the more they learn about it.
Health care reform is a few years away, another election cycle, but getting the message out early that the new health insurance law will not stand is important.
