Many Seniors May Lose Part D Choice

As many as three to four million seniors may be forced to change their prescription benefits plan this fall. Medicare, Here, is trying to lessen similar plans offered to members in hopes of making things less confusing. This is a noble cause, unless you are enrolled in one of the plans being discontinued. These seniors would not lose their coverage, but it is entirely possible that their deductibles and co-pays may change.

So much for President Obama’s promise that if you are happy with the plan you have you can keep it. To be fair, this isn’t the worst thing to happen to seniors as a result of Obamacare, and in fact it may be helpful. But when you know that $500 billion dollars is being cut from Medicare to help for the uninsured, and you were promised that your benefits would not be affected, it becomes a little tough to believe that this will be a simple policy switch with no catches.
