Those in the center of the political voting block, the Independents, are very upset over the new national health insurance law that was passed without a single Republican voting for it. Forcing mandated health insurance, down the throat of the American people has upset the Independents more than most. In fact, Independents want the new health insurance mandate repealed. Fifty percent of all Independents strongly oppose the new medical insurance law. When half of the independents are strongly opposed to anything they usually get their way. Worse yet for the new health insurance law is that younger voters are strongly opposed to it more than the average voter.
As far as health insurance is concerned the Democrats are about to face a slaughter of sorts. the polling of late should give the Republicans the guts to offer a one sentence repeal bill. Yes, the president must be replaced, but offering such a bill now will help the Republicans in 2012. Offering such a bill now would also show Independents that Republicans are serious about repealing the new health insurance law and will help vote the Democrats out of office so that repeal can become a reality.
