There are now twenty states suing the federal government over the new mandated health insurance law. Each day it seems another party is joining the suit, each stating their desire to have the medical insurance mandate ruled illegal.
The Federation of Independent Business Owners is the latest to join in the challenge of repealing mandated health insurance for all. The organization represents nearly 350,000 small business owners. There is also a concerted effort between the state legislators to pass legislation making the individual health insurance mandate illegal. Many say that this won’t work, that federal law always beats out state law. But the fact that so many states are involved and changing their laws, it is possible that the Supreme Court will be influenced by this, in fact many legal scholars believe this will greatly persuade them.
